Connection Groups

Gathering in groups is God's way of getting us to work in tandem with Him to experience transformation in one another's lives. Without groups, spiritual renovation is impossible. Isolation leaves us void of the Holy Spirit-driven synergy that helps us become reflectors of Christ. So we get together with a small group of passionate believers and invest in one another's lives.

Groups were Jesus' way of making disciples. Jesus enlisted 12 committed followers and invested His life and ministry in them. After He ascended to heaven, those 12 followed Jesus' pattern, bringing small groups of Jesus' followers together as the church (see Acts 2:42-46). And when groups meet together and pray, see God's story and directive unveiled through the study of His Word, live in healthy fellowship with one another, break bread together, and sacrificially meet one another's needs, not-yet-followers of Christ take note, and many choose a relationship with Jesus (Acts 2:47).

At FBC Holly Springs, we strongly believe that Connection Groups (a.k.a. Sunday School, Bible Study, Discipleship classes) are the best vehicle by which we grow the church and each and every member of the Body of Christ.  Every church member should also be an active member of a Connection group. In fact, you will be assigned to a Bible study group when you join our church, but you are free to select the class of your choice.

Our primary time for Connection Groups is Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.  We offer groups for adults ranging from young adult to senior adult.  We also offer special interest sessions which allow deeper growth in a particular area while at the same time facilitating fellowship outside your normal group.
